A flute trio of Bend Pops Orchestra members brought holiday music to participants of Mountain View Community Development’s Safe Parking Program on Sunday, December 8. Redmond’s Mountain View Fellowship Church established Mountain View Community Development as a non-profit with the mission to decrease homelessness, support households, and enhance lives in Deschutes County. Each Safe Parking site has six occupants (family, couple, single) living in trailers. The program provides case management for housing, employment and other issues participants may have, and has been very successful. Thank you to our wonderful flutists for bringing music to these folks!
Musicians are (left to right) Angela Spangenberg, Linda Fern, and Jan Reeves.
