Our musician mission says it all:
To provide community musicians an environment to develop and apply their musicianship, to learn from and interact with fellow musicians, and to experience the pleasure of preparing and presenting varied music programs for the enrichment of Bend and surrounding communities.
Why Join Bend Pops?
Bend Pops is Central Oregon’s premier community orchestra. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive and fun group. We welcome all area musicians and all skill levels. No auditions required! We have weekly rehearsals at Mountain View High School in Bend, from 6:30PM to 8:30PM on Wednesday evenings during the concert season. We play pops music and well-known classical pieces, which is fun for us as musicians, and gives us a wide audience appeal. We play three concerts a year, and there are many ensemble opportunities.
For more information, please check out our New and Prospective Member Handout.
Our orchestra sustains itself on grants, donations, and dues from its playing members. The dues to play each term are $90. We have a scholarship fund so no one is turned away due to exceptional financial circumstances.
Our conductor, Eddy Robinson, is an experienced conductor and music educator, and has been deeply involved in Central Oregon music circles since his arrival here in 2012. He is a bassist and plays with the Central Oregon Symphony and was a co-conductor of the Central Oregon Youth Orchestra.
