Did you know we have a Community News page on our website? We do!
Bend Pops Community News is our vehicle for letting the public know what kind of things we do for our community. Our community mission is:
- to produce, present, and promote accessible and memorable music for the enrichment of the people of Central Oregon
- to bring music to under-served area populations
- to enhance school and community music education through free, open programs and presentations
- to support the education of our own musicians through our musician mission of providing a musical environment in which to grow and develop
So we encourage you to help fulfill that mission by taking music out to the community! We even offer service stipends and have a little budget for small ensemble music.
If you do perform any community-type activity, please take pictures and let us know about it, and we’ll put it in our Community News! Having a public record of our service work helps people in the community know us and what we can offer. It can also help us in our grant applications.
